Are there clinic expectations?

At Kids at Play Therapy, we’re dedicated to creating a safe, clean, and nurturing space where children thrive through play and therapeutic support. Your partnership helps us maintain a respectful and welcoming environment for all families. Thank you for being part of our community!

Therapy Rooms

  • Therapy rooms are reserved exclusively for scheduled sessions.
  • Children must remain in the lobby with their parent(s) until greeted by their therapist.

Lobby Etiquette

  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Please help us maintain a calm and peaceful atmosphere by using quiet voices.
  • For safety and respect of all families, children should refrain from running, climbing on furniture, or pulling on blinds.
  • We encourage quiet activities such as reading, coloring, or playing with toys while waiting.
  • If the lobby feels crowded or your child needs a break, feel free to wait in your vehicle, enjoy a walk along the nearby river trail, or visit a local park until your appointment time.

 Privacy & Electronics

  • Photography and video recording are not permitted inside the clinic.
  • Please take phone calls outside the lobby and therapy areas.
  • Personal devices should be used with headphones and kept at a volume that does not distract others.

Supervision

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Children under age 5 must be accompanied to the restroom.
  • Seating in therapy rooms is reserved for parents of children currently in session.
  • Parents/guardians are expected to remain on-site during their child’s session.

Session Transitions

  • Transitions occur during the final 10 minutes of each session.
  • Children will be returned to the care of their parent/guardian at that time.

 Food & Drink

  • To maintain cleanliness and safety, food is not permitted in the clinic or waiting areas.
  • Feeding therapy sessions will be managed by therapists in designated treatment spaces.
  • Beverages must be in spill-proof containers.
